GARY ANDERSON OBITUARY

May 2, 1949 - May 17, 2022 Gary Roy Anderson passed away on May 17, 2022. He was born in Anaheim, and graduated from Valley High School in 1968. He loved to surf in his younger years, and eventually moved to Huntington Beach in the late 70's where he lived out the rest of his life. He worked at Narmco Material Inc. from 1969-1982. After that, he worked for Lucky/Albertson's in Irvine for 39 years until his passing. He was a talented artist who loved to draw cartoons. He entertained many a family member & co-worker with his drawings, which have been saved for many years by people who had received them. He loved music, and could play the drums. His sisters recalled as a child he would drum on anything. His sense of humor not only extended to his cartoons, but also to his telling of jokes. He loved Rodney Dangerfield, and Milton Berle. He would memorize their jokes to tell others. Food was one of his guilty pleasures, and he enjoyed trying out new restaurants, as well as eating at old favorites. He loved Catalina Island, and as he told his wife Barbara the first time he took her there, "It's the Island of Romance." They spent many a wonderful vacation there in Catalina during their 31 years of marriage. Gary was preceded by a sister. He is survived by his wife, brother, 4 sisters, uncle, aunt, nieces, nephews, and many cousins. He touched the hearts of many, and put a smile on their faces. Cathy Laray Bettigole, 67, of Pinehurst, Idaho, passed away November 24, 2017 at the Shoshone Medical Center in Kellogg, Idaho. She was born August 7, 1950 in Seattle, Washington; Cathy was the daughter of Ted and Coralee (Kuenn) Bettigole.

Cathy attended and graduated high school in Santa Ana, California in 1968.

Cathy has had various jobs over the years, including working for the forest service and also working for Shoshone Medical Center. In her free time Cathy loved traveling and spending time with her friends. She also was an animal lover and has had several horses over the years. She also enjoyed relaxing with a good book.

Cathy is survived by her companion Ron of over 40 years. She is also survived many great friends and extended family.

A celebration of Cathy's life will be held at a later date.
